Last weekend, Miles and April set out on a grand Maine adventure: camping in Baxter State Park. This enchanting park has over 200,000 acres of wilderness and public forest. Mount Katahdin and 200 miles of trails allow for truly connecting to and admiring nature in its pure form. Designed to be explored on foot, rather than by car, Baxter State Park provides trails, boardwalks, access to lakes, ponds, and waterfalls, and rugged mountain exploration. In these forested areas, wildlife is never hard to spot- from otter to unique birds to moose.
Miles and April camped in the park and explored trails during the day. They spotted moose and soaked in the beauty of the October foliage. Inspiration was found in the rich orange and red colors, the smell of crisp fall air, and the haunting quiet of a forest cloaked in darkness. To simply take in the beauty and natural landscape was the perfect weekend get away.
