Traveling America, 27 States, 13,000 Miles & a New Car
April & I just got back from a 2 month road trip. We drove 13,000 miles and went through 27 states. We met so many great people and connected with family & friends along the way. We are so excited to be home, but to tell you the truth, I am already missing the road, the freedom and the adventure. I do, however feel REFRESHED. It sounds cliche, but I want to watch less TV and listen to MORE music...live. Go on more hikes and be outdoors, exercise and travel more! There were so many memorable moments we had and amazing places that we traveled too.
(This is at Bryce Canyon. One of the most beautiful places we have ever been too. That night we camped in the desert and fell asleep to the sounds of coyote.)
We spent time with family we haven't seen for awhile, connected with friends we haven't seen for awhile, celebrated birthdays and new jobs, and saw so many parts of the country we never saw before.
(Somewhere in Utah, Free roaming Bison with the beautiful Red Rock in the background.)
Right before our trip we bought the new VW Atlas, although ideally we wanted a Sprinter Camper Van, the Atlas was more practical for life when we got back from our trip and since we needed a new car for business it seemed like the logical choice. The Atlas was great! Such a smooth ride, decent on gas, and we basically had a queen size bed in the back that we slept in multiple times with Berlin. It's pretty comforting to start a road trip with a brand new car!
